This position has become available due to the promotion of the previous incumbent, proving the inherent commitment of the executive management team to the growth and development of their valued employees.
Your primary function will be to supervise the Quality Control, Finished Goods group. This group performs testing of Finished Goods samples. Leadership skills, organizational ability and report writing skills are infinitely important.
You will be the point person in charge of daily project planning and troubleshooting in addition to being instrumental in long term project planning and the review of existing processes/procedures for improvement areas. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness (reviewing) of reports, SOPs, raw data and other documents generated by the group.
You will be very adept at setting group goals and ensuring that these goals are met. You will also be responsible for dealing with employee issues including such things as year-end PA, vacation planning, discipline, etc.
. Revision and Validation of methods within the QC lab for HPLC and other instrumental techniques with the goal of updating and improving existing methods.
. Evaluate methods and procedures and suggest improvements and changes as required.
. Install, calibrate and maintain instruments (HPLC, GC, UV, polarimeter, refractometer, etc),
. Proficiency with various instrumentation (pH meter, viscometer, Karl Fisher apparatus, UV, IR, HPLC),
. Knowledge of applicable software - Empower HPLC software.
. Good working knowledge of GMP's.
. Knowledge of method development and analytical validation techniques.
