Data Officer

Our client, a downtown investment firm is seeking a Data Officer to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis. The successful candidate will be working with proprietary traders to ensure new (corporate) accounts are set up accurately and within critical time-lines.

Responsibility for the management of data within trading and support systems, covering cash equity and equity derivative products. This involves:

• Client on-boarding and setup within internal systems
• Reviewing of control reports to manage and ensure data consistency
• Monitor and review data integrity, resolving issues where appropriate
• Providing a timely service supporting the front/back office business in order to facilitate trading activity
• Understanding of the upstream & downstream dependencies of the data
• Responsible for the timely and accurate distribution of management information

Qualifications:

• Experience with new corporate account set up
• Relevant post-secondary education
• Completion of Canadian Securities Course an asset
• Minimum two years of experience in a similar role
• Knowledge of Bloomberg, Reuters and Microsoft office
