Experienced Webmaster

The Webmaster/Web Developer will be responsible for developing, producing and maintaining our website.

The ideal candidate will have a strong design, usability and programming background and will be able to work efficiently and independently.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Create and manage content on websites and admin site
• Develop company web and admin sites functionality, features and designs
• Continually improve the content, navigation and usability of the website and admin site
• Give input an changes within the Web Marketing and IT departments
• Write necessary code and tests required to implement changes
• Continually strive to ensure existing systems become more effective/efficient, and to integrate with new solutions, wherever appropriate.
• Quality assurance of related code and content management changes
• Communicating with end-users and management to better understand system requirements and strategic goals
• Improve landing page performance through testing

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
• Post-secondary education (degree or diploma) in Computer Science or Web development with experience with content management
• 2+ yrs experience as a web developer/programmer building and managing a portfolio of online properties, portals, websites and intranets
• A minimum of 2 years experience with PHP, HTML, CSS, Javascript, Flash and Content Management Systems
• Intermediate to advanced CSS and Flash experience
• Experience with WordPress or similar CMS
• Experience with site management tools, FTP and web QA, staging and archival
• Detail oriented with strong organization/planning skills
• Strong communication skills and a passion for the web and enhancing the customer experience.
• Must be a team player whose can-do attitude drives efficiency in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and pay attention to details
• Should be a self-starter who can take ownership of projects and will enjoy working in a fast-changing, growth-oriented business
