Manager Of Finance

Our client, an award winning Travel Company is seeking an experienced manager of finance who can provide assistance to the existing finance team when creating & managing the reporting systems and also help with making critical decisions based on financial data.

Responsibilities:
*Creation and implementation of reporting systems
*Creation of customized reports to support the finance team
*Inter-company Consolidations
*Transfer pricing
*Working with Multiple Currencies
*Budgeting and Financial Statements
*Develop and maintain strategic plans in Excel with operating models of office functions, to provide a fact check for computer outputs and to guide forecasting
*Responsible for data entry in the company’s evolving accounting system
*Track, analyze, and set action plans to ensure the overall operations targets are met
*Develop and execute the annual operations plans on budget
*Assist with business cases for new corporate operations
*Work closely with other members of the finance team to ensure a coordinated effort in all activities
*Identify opportunities to improve the consistency of our travel product across staff, across countries, and across value chain segments
*Actively seek opportunities to cut cost, increase revenue, and improve profitability

Requirements:

Must haves:
*Strong background in accounting and finance!
*Analytical mindset – experience with strategic analysis, audit and financial reconstruction, business plans
*Ability to think ‘outside the box’ – able to solve problems with the tools at hand and identify non-obvious problems
*Experience in small to medium sized companies where one wears “multiple hats”
*Ability to think strategically as well as set objectives for the future on a tactical level
*Driven and Diligent Work ethic – hands on, willing to devote majority of time doing “grunt work” and basic data entry
*Ability to function independently and efficiently with minimal supervision
*Exceptional Communication skills!
*Enthusiastic and professional attitude
*An ability to function well in a variety of teams and settings
*Sensitivity to other cultures and tolerance for the business limitations in countries around the world
*Ambition and willingness to consistently over exceed expectations
*Demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit and willingness to succeed
*Must be willing and able to travel more than 30% of the time
*Passion for travel and adventure!

Would be nice:
*Thorough understanding of the travel industry
*Strong understanding of information technology, with a functioning perspective on databases, programming, web-based technologies, and how these tools can be best *harnessed in a variety of environments
*Previous experience as a controller for a smaller company

Qualifications:
*CA, CMA or similar accounting designation
*MBA would be an asset
*International accounting experience in foreign currencies
*Experience administering inter-company consolidations
*Experience in reporting, financial analysis, budgeting and financial statement experience
