Senior Auditor - Ottawa

I have the following contract in Ottawa

Experience:

•          Extensive experience in conducting all facets of an audit project within the federal government including: planning, risk assessment, interviews, sampling, testing, analysis, reporting and recommendation formulation, and completion of working papers

•          Experience in the conduct of operational or financial audits.

•          A strong understanding of external Audited Financial Statements and the applicable accounting standards, such as GAAP or CICA Standards.

•          Good communication skills in dealing with internal and external clients and demonstrating clarity and professional judgement in discussing audit issues and accounting terminology

      Experience using applications such as Excel, Word, ACL, and VISIO 

Experience in using audit tools, methodologies and techniques (such as but not limited to interviews, observations, walkthroughs, flowcharting of procedures, review of supporting documentation, sampling of transactions, and analytical reviews)

       Education / Professional Qualifications:

 •          Degree from a recognized university         

•          Current and valid professional certification CIA

•          Current and valid professional certification CA or CGA
